Advantages of Telescopic Channels over Wheel Slides

Telescopic channels or telescopic drawer slides can be used in drawers, file cabinets, kitchen baskets etc. to enable ease of sliding.

Telescopic channels have the added advantage of "holding the drawer in its slot". That is to say that the drawer will not fall out of its slot even if it is fully drawn out.

Telescopic channels score over ordinary wheel slides 1. In reducing friction. They use ball bearings to reduce friction.
2. Keeps the drawer in its slot. Does not allow the drawer to fall out. Ordinary wheel channels do not prevent this.

3. Allows the drawer to be fully drawn out. In wheel channels, the drawer can be drawn out to about 80% of its length only.
