How to repair plaster using a polymer modified mortar

Surface preparation

. Identify the area to be repaired and chip the damaged area to obtain a sound surface.
. Remove all loose material from the surface using a wire brush and wash with water.

Application

. Using a Latex based repair polymer apply a primer coat mixed with cement in the ratio 1:1 by weight.
. Prepare a polymer modified mortar (1 part cement + 3 parts sand + 20% Latex polymer + water as required) and while the primer coat is still tacky, using a trowel or a suitable tool, level the area to be repaired.
. Allow for sufficient curing by water.
